1. Fewer repairs, less aggravation Distortion, intermittency, volume fluctuations and such are often the result of moisture build-up rather than any hearing aid defect. Relief from itchy ear Itching, irritation and infections of the external ear canal can often be caused by trace amounts of bacteria. Despite treatment of the ear canal, if the bacteria reside on the hearing aid, it will be continually re-introduced to the ear canal with each hearing aid wearing. Dry & Store's UV lamp* generates enough germicidal energy to kill most of the bacteria that are a common cause of itching ear. *The Professional model and the Global model incorporate the UV sanitizing function. 4. Longer battery life First, a dry hearing aid is a more efficient hearing aid.
